Star of the Sea
The Aramaic name 'Mariam' means "The Star of the Sea." She is the Guiding Star for every sea-farer tossing upon the stormy sea of this world.
The Birth and Greatness
Born in Nazareth (meaning 'Flower') to Joachim and Anna, Mary was predestined to be the Mother of the Saviour. Conceived and born Immaculate, she grew in spotless purity and deep humility. Her 'Yes' to God was also her 'Yes' to becoming the Mother of the world.
